Sunday 3rd September is Father’s Day. Barenz is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner trade. Or pop in any time of day to shout your old man a coffee and something sweet from our delicious new range supplied by Mimma’s On Edmonson. Mimma’s is a local supplier, baking with only the finest quality ingredients and no added preservatives. We’re very happy to have a selection of Mimma’s cakes on offer for Father’s Day, including Cannolis, GF Choc Muffins, Fruit Tarts, Nutella bombs, éclairs and Caramel Mud Cake.

James Englund

James Englund is an Australian Music Producer and Audio Engineer. He has worked with industry greats such as John Butler, Michael Bolton and Ten CC as well as working closely with engineers and artists like Michael Brauer (4 time Grammy winner and mixer of Coldplay, John Mayer, Jeff Buckley, and more), Mike Stavrou (Sting, Elton John), Deni Hines, Erika Heynatz, Will Ackerman (multi-grammy award winning producer of Windham Hill, USA), Cookie Marenco, and more.

James also works as an audio professional and composer for screen music projects including film, documentary, TVC, Web Series and corporate promo. James is a multi-instrumentalist playing Guitar, Bass, Piano, Saxophone and an array of other instruments. He is also a highly professional vocalist/singer and a highly experienced performing artist.

Tori Darke

Multi Award winner, Singer/songwriter TORI DARKE Is the ‘Full Package’, A Top 5 Finalist in the ‘Female Artist of the Year’ for the 2016 Golden Guitar Awards, nominated for ‘Female Artist of the Year’ & ‘Oz Artist of the Year’ at the 2016 CMC Awards, Tori’s passion for Country Music is unquestionable.

With her powerful vocals, heartbreakingly beautiful voice, passionate song writing and mesmerising on-stage presence, Tori Darke continues to capture her audiences. With the release of her second album this talented artist continues to reap even more outstanding results as she continues to make her mark in the music industry.

Alana Lee Duo

Alana-Lee is a Sydney-based singer, songwriter and pianist, performing an original mix of contemporary pop, soul, folk and jazz music.

Her debut EP ‘Freedom In The Fall’ was recorded with Josh Schuberth at Love Hz Studios (Sydney, Australia) and released on 23 November 2016. Her songs Walking for Water, Freedom In The Fall and Russian Doll have been supported by community radio and to date, have been added to playlists and music libraries around Australia including 4ZZZ (QLD), VoxFM (NSW), 3MDR (VIC), 3BBB 99.9 Voice FM (VIC), 979FM (VIC), 2LVR Valley FM (NSW).

She recently supported Renee Geyer at The Basement across 2 nights and has a number of corporate clients that regularly request bespoke entertainment packages for functions, festivals and events.

A colourful student of life, a thinker, a creator, a lover of original music and world travel. Influenced by Michael Buble, Fiona Apple, Eva Cassidy, Lana del Ray, Cat Power and Massive Attack, Alana-Lee has brought her intimate solo show to venues across the UK and Australia, including The Basement (Sydney), Brass Monkey (Cronulla), Zeta Bar – Hilton Hotel (Sydney), Lazybones Lounge (Marrickville), Courtyard Sessions – Seymour Centre (Sydney), The Newsagency (Marrickville), Lizottes (Sydney), Cairns Convention Centre (QLD), Sydney Entertainment Centre, Sydney Opera House, Half Moon Putney (London), Blag Club (London), The Slaughtered Lamb (London) and Sidewalk Cafe (New York).

‘Alana-Lee then brought back the piano/vocal aesthetic..and was possibly the most impressive of the lot…her most impressive number was certainly Walking for Water, a song that recounts the hardship she witnessed while travelling through Africa.’ the AU Review.

At just 15, Georgia was signed to her first major record label- distributed by Sony Music Australia and became a part of The Apprentices project, releasing 2 albums that showcased her incredible voice and gave us a glimpse of her unique style and promise.

Now 22, Georgia covers a large variety of genres, keeping up with the current mainstream tunes that hit the radio, to the classic and timeless songs that create a sense of nostalgia for everyone in the audience! Each song is transformed “acoustically” from their original sound into a unique arrangement, allowing the listeners to sit back and appreciate some of their favourite songs like they’ve never heard before!

Ash n Bodo

Having been heavily involved in the Sydney music scene, Ash ‘n Bodo are an experienced party duo playing a wide range of styles to cater for all occasions and tastes.

Ashleigh brings years of stage (and television) experience to our duo with an infectious stage presence and vocal skill that will have you entranced from the start. Brandon (Bodo) has been a part of the Sydney music scene since the late 90’s and has performed across Australia and also internationally in many weird and wonderful scenarios and will blow minds with ripping guitar solos and riffs.

Brandon was also the manager and bassplayer in one of Sydney’s premier function bands “Papa Groove” and for 14 years the band played Australia wide and internationally for some of the biggest companies in the world including: BHP Billiton (WA), Shell Petroleum (Oman), Harness Racing NSW, NSW Police….and many more.

From years of this experience Brandon and Ash have learned how to read and entertain a crowd and tailor the best music to ensure the success of your event or venue.

Together, Ash and Bodo bring years of stage experience to our show and have fine tuned our repertoire to keep our crowds dancing and singing along to songs you know and love from Artists such as: Bruno Mars, Daryl Braithwaite, Meaghan Trainor, Taylor Swift, Jamiroquai, Fleetwood Mac, Amy Winehouse, Blondie, and more.

MacDaddy Duo

Consists of two cousins Robert and Luke who share a common interest in music.

We play a variety of covers suited to all occasions, including clubs, pubs, weddings and other events. Our music is expressed through vocals, keys, guitars and percussion. Luke holds an AMEB certificate of performance in piano, and Grade 6 Musicianship. Luke is currently currently studying full time at JMC Academy for a bachelor of music in performance. Luke is also an accomplished vocalist, guitarist and percussionist. Rob graduated from the Australian Institute of Music in 2015 with the HSC and Certificate in Music, studying bass, piano, guitar and vocals. Rob has studied piano under Geoff Harvey.
